What is Discovery?
EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) is a tool that allows you to search & view the majority of the Library's resources using a single search.
This includes full access to electronic articles, books, videos, & databases, along with records of physical items in the Library's catalog such as books, journals, & DVDs.

Starting a Search
Discovery searches similarly to other EBSCOhost databases, such as CINAHL. Just enter a term or terms and click Search button to start.
Discovery searches all terms you have entered, without the need to use AND. For example: brain injury children will find items that contain all three terms.
Once you have search results on the screen, you can combine your terms in other ways (such as OR or NOT) by using the Advanced Search.
HSHS colleagues must login to MyAthens for access to most resources.
Click MyAthens tab above for details on creating a free account.
In order to access an electronic book in Discovery, click on blue underlined title of e-book, then scroll down to blue underlined Online Access link & click it.
